Do you believe in yourself? 05/10/2011
Part of your success with training and dieting and changing your body to the body you want is believing in yourself. If you don't believe it can be done then do you really think it will happen? I don't. If you don't believe it then you won't bother to make efforts towards it. No efforts, no results. I've worked with many people with many different goals, and guess what the common factors of success have been? Desire, Dedication, Consistency, and Belief that change is possible and likely. Stop the negative thoughts. Don't ever call yourself weak, helpless or doomed. All of us have the power to determine our futures. Our bodies ARE already changing every single day. But in what direction? that's up to you. You're habits are harder to change than anything else. What are you doing consistently? Are you getting the results you desire? If not, think about changing your program, a change in program results in a change in the body. But most importantly, change your mindset. Use every single day as an opportunity to better yourself. Some days you may indulge, but be conscious of the consequence of that. Nobody is perfect and our souls must be fed just as our living bodies need their fuel. A life without delicious treats is a sad and restricted one. Don't go all drill sergeant on yourself and ban treats forever, but learn to love healthy food and consider it an indulgence as it feeds and fuels the body you desire. I always remember this quote: "To be healthy one must eat what they don't want to eat, and do exercise they don't want to do", Well, I say heck with that! I LOVE healthy food and I love to move and feel strong and powerful. If you don't love it then maybe you haven't been taught the right way to do it. Exercise should feel good, and eating right should be a pleasure. Quit torturing yourselves in the name of health! CommentsLeave a Reply |
